CSX SD40-2 #8189
This unit was custom detailed from a
factory painted CSX unit. The road number were stripped
with 91% alcohol and renumbered with MicroScale decals.
Polly Scale paint was used for touch up painting as required.

Fantasy Cars
Completed another round of fantasy cars today. All of the cars were stripped with 91%
alcohol before being repainted into their current colors.
- The first CSX car was done with white handrails and the
last two were done with the YN3 Yellow. It was a test
to see which one would come out better and I believe the
Yellow railings on this particular car looks better as it
matches the end caps and decals nicely. The white
doesn't look that bad. Somewhere along the way I lost
the top cap, so I need to buy a replacement from
Atlas...there's always one!! I used Polly Scale CSX YN3
Blue and Modelflex NP Yellow for the paint.

CSX MP15DC #1143
This is a simple number change from the
stock road number, 1148, to the new number 1143. Hopefully
Atlas won't release this number in any upcoming releases.
I used Microscale decals for the new numbers.
The number boards up front and in the
rear are really tiny. So tiny, I used decals from a
railcar because normal number boards are to big for those on
this engine.

CSX ex-Conrail SD80MAC #4596
The SD80MAC started as a standard Conrail unit that was released by
Kato in June 2001. I stripped the numbers off the cab and
number boards before applying the patched CSX number.

CSX C44-9W #9051
The
CW44-9 started as a CSX YN2 version that was stripped with Pine
Sol and repainted with Polly Scale CSX New Image Blue and Yellow.
Most of the details were applied before painting. I believe
there are only three current CSX CW44-9's in the YN3 paint
with 9051 being one of them.
