(16) INRD Cylindrical hoppers

I finished this batch of Indiana Railroad
cylindrical hoppers over the weekend. DV used the same
type paint as Atlas and it literally melted off the cars after
about 30 minutes in the solution. The former Union Pacific
cars were then painted with Modelflex Red Caboose and completed
with a mixture of decals from Highball Graphics and Microscale.
Someone now has an instant unit grain train!
All of the cars have unique road numbers
assigned to the 890000 block.
I really liked how easy these cars were to
disassemble. The roofwalks are simply pressed into place
and held in place by friction. No glue involved!!

INRD Caboose #150

This was an undecorated Atlas caboose that has been
painted into the INRD colors. I used Modelflex Red
Caboose paint and a mixture of Highball Graphics and
Microscale decals. The decals were a little larger
than I expected on the caboose, so I had to move the caboose
number up to copula. I still like how it came out
though.

INRD SD70ACe #5634

This engine is custom painted and detailed from a Kato unit
that was stripped and primed before painting. I used Modelflex Caboose Red for the paint job and decals from
Highball Graphics. I left the upper stripe off this engine because
it looked weird with the off set long hood and larger radiator
section.

The two INRR 86' Auto Parts boxcars are made by Con-Cor.
They were stripped and painted into the distinctive red and
white INRR scheme with Modelflex paints and Highball Graphics
decals. While not prototypical, this is a really nice
scheme.
